For the new ZigZagZurich x Michele Rondelli bag series, the design team created a sustainable cork fabric, refined with an innovative wax and foil finish to emphasize the structure of the cork.  Drawn from architectural inspiration, the collection of bags have sharp clean minimalist lines, yet are still soft and flexible to the eye. The bags are designed for the modern-day traveler: long handles for shoulder carrying, flexible space, and compactable. Cork is both sustainable whilst being extremely durable. The series of bags include a weekender bag, a shopper bag, a tote bag, a travel bag, a portfolio bag, an evening pouch, and a matching wallet.

As the cork trees' European birthplace, the production and fabrication of the bags are in Ubrique, Spain. The village is famous for its leather and bag production for some of the biggest luxury fashion brands in the world. For over a century, the small workshops and ateliers in this town have produced some of the most iconic leather bags for the catwalks of Paris to celebrities worldwide.
